Kerri Donnelly
BFA: Writing for Film and Television "After a semester interning at Lionsgate Acquisitions, I'm eager to plunge into the entertainment industry as an aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker. Entering a job market contingent on networking and first impressions, I'm relieved to have had my experience with Kappa. If I can survive pledge, I can survive anything! I am Kappa, hear me roar!" |
Clare LaVergne
Writing, Literature, Publishing "Currently, I am on the hunt for a job in Washington, DC, where I plan to move some time before the end of the summer. In the mean time, I am continuing to intern at GemmaMedia, a small fiction and nonfiction publishing company where I have been since the fall. I'm so excited for the future and can't wait to see what life has in store for me." |

Communication Studies "I will be a Special Education teacher at Irving Middle School in San Antonio, Texas as part of the Teach For America program! I'm spending the summer in Houston, TX to get as much training as possible to close the achievement gap among students in the low income communities of San Antonio. So far, the Teach For America experience has been one of the most challenging I've ever encountered in my life, however I know that being a sister of Kappa Gamma Chi, I am capable of anything I work hard for. Professionally, and personally, Kappa has helped me grow into a strong woman who has a passion to serve those in need. That's what I'm doing every time I step into my classroom and I'm excited to be able to do it for the next two years" |
Kelly Rice
Marketing Communication "I am currently interning full-time at DB&R, a small ad agency at which I interned all year. I absolutely love the people in my office and getting to know how agencies function, inside and out. I owe it to Kappa for giving me the confidence and professionalism to go after this position in the first place, one which I hope becomes a permanent employee position in the near future. I am excited about being a part of the real professional world, a place that may seem daunting without the support and inspiration of my sisters. " |

Theater Studies with minors in Writing and Psychology "Post graduation, I moved back home with my family in New York City, where I am currently interning with the New York Neo Futurists. I am loving working in the artsy, New York theater world, and will continue my work by stage managing a show at FringeNYC this August. I am so thankful for the professionalism and drive that being a Kappa gave me. While I'm not sure where my career will officially start or what exactly I will be doing (I have so many aspirations!) I know that being a Kappa has given me the skills I need to succeed." |
